This story is quite difficult to rate. There is very limited information provided on the drug, potential side effects and costs. It is not even clear who the target audience is for this drug. The story describes the potential as a preventive treatment for skin cancer in 'fair skinned' . This is potentially a very large target audience and it is hard to draw a boundary with 'not for cosmetic purposes'. As noted for the Herald Sun piece, it is reported as an implant but the same drug is an injection form for use in a genetic skin disorder in this report. Is it flagging multiple uses more as a promotion of the biopharmaceutical company?
